Bode Update

It took several weeks of the cast type bandage, but this week we finally got the "it looks good, no skin graft" response I've been hoping for. Bode just has a special protective, compressive burn glove he'll wear for a month. At that point we go back in to check for any thickening.
Bode seems to be happier having access to his L hand, though so far, he isn't using it much. Not because it hurts, but because he's conditioned not to.
In Armenia I had a Russian companion. We had a discussion abt like this :

(V=Varya, M=me)
V: everyone thinks America is so great, but there must be some contaminant in the water or air that makes so many invalids.
M:invalids? What do you mean?
V: have you ever noticed how many Americans wear glasses?
M: I think Anericans are just more likely to seek out eye care.
V: okay fine, but how do you explain all the left handed people there. It doesn't occur often in Russia, and if it does, we correct it right away.

So Bode, consider this L hand binding a favor;-)

James is doing a golf camp this week and is in love. Ahh Randy. Why you had to lead our kids to golf and hockey, and thus us to the poor house, I don't know.
Owen is in such mourning that he's not old enough to join.
Here's Bode's new glove.

Such cute boys! Glad to hear Bode's hand is feeling better. I want to see updated pictures of the tree house village! That looks awesome!
