Hair cuts and casts

The 2 posts I just published were supposed to have gone up a few weeks ago. While lately I do feel like we're barely keeping our heads above the water with the destruction these boys cause, really we had a little brake between episodes. Bode burned his hand abt a week  & 1/2 ago. Put his hand on the wood burning stove at the cabin. We rushed to the ER and he has a second follow up tomorrow with the burn specialist to see if he needs a skin graft or not (we are definately praying for "not on that one." If I don't follow up posting something you can assume not, and that he's doing great.) he's in a cute little soft cast now, and seemed to have adapted to one handed ness quite easily.

James, my normally honest, sensitive, easy keeper, has hit a strange new phase of deceit and destruction the last couple of days. He gave himself and Owen haircuts on Saturday- though to be fair, I partially blame myself. I had just before that pointed out a little girl who had chopped her bangs to the scalp, intending for him to think "gosh, that would be a terrible idea, and I would never do it." Reminds me of the Orphanage trip Kim, Carrie, and I did to Jamaica back in 2008 ish. One kid had pink eye, and in a moment of genious I decided to instruct the other kids how to avoid getting it by NOT touching their eyes. Of course they immediately grabbed their eye lids and stretched them around asking "like this?" They all got "da pink eye." I should have learned my lesson.
