Finnish New Year's Eve

Well, I had put a lot of work into this post, but somehow it never made it. I'll give a shortened run down. Robyn made an amazing Finnish feast to celebrate the new year there was beef brisket and pea soup, Scandinavian sausage and cheese, a whole smoked fish, Leftse (like a tortilla) and Lutafisk (gelatinous fish soaked in lye), parsnips and turnips, rice pudding with Lingonberry and blueberry preserves, and pie. Ron said it all tasted just like he remembered having it as a kid. It must have taken her days. It was so fun. Our friends the Brodegards even drove ip from Iowa for it. Thanks Robyn. It was definitely a celebration we won't forget.
