We were so lucky to have Sage and Troy's family, and Wendy and Daniel up for a white Christmas. The first day it took us nearly 3 hours to get out of the house for a walk to the park. Bundling up 9 kids takes some time! We headed up to the cabin as quickly as we could so that no one would have to wait ( either bundled and sweating inside, or shivering outside) for hours while attempting to mobilize the whole group at once. over the course of the week we enjoyed ice skating, tractor pulled wagon and sled rides, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, sauna-ing, game playing, Christmas caroling, cutting down and decorating a tree, and good quality time together.
We ended up getting colder than normal weather, but I was so impressed with how hardy everyone was. Even on the day we had below zero temperatures we were out playing a competitive game of broom ball ( and stripping off clothes and sweating!)
I was so impressing with how athletic the Wilcox kids are. And helpful! James especially fell in love with David and Victoria. Thanks for coming everyone.
