The State Fair is a huge deal in Minnesota. There is essentially a city with in St Paul that is abandonned except for a 2 week window in August when the shutter are openned, the lights are switched, and the gates are opened. People travel from miles around, and attend multiple times to try and see it all. There's grain art and live animal birthings, giant butter sculptures and a lumber jack show. We enjoyed sharing James' first corn dog, fried cheese curds, and tractor drive. Soon he'll be able to hold his own with these midwester farmers.

Chrissy, you're looking good! Ah, the Minnesota State Fair. Fried Twinkies, Fried Snickers....I saw a Saturday production of A Prairie Home Companion and heard Shawn Cole and Los Lobos play there. Watched the lumberjack trials and the dog frisbee tricks show. Saw the butter sculptures, pet the pigs and ducks, etc. Quite the event! Glad you guys went. Randy, James, and Owen are lookin' good too. (:
