Rita's visit

It's been a busy month,. I apologize for being slow at posting. We were lucky to have Randy's sister Rita and her cute 2 years old Dennis come play with us for a week. We spent the first several days in Minneapolis, then went up to the cabin. James sure loved his cousin. Any time he was sad Dennis just gave him a hug and kiss he was good to go again. Thanks for visiting Rita.

Rita and Dennis are trying out the new bike carrier that I got at a garage sale for 3 bucks.

No, I'm not going for a swim in the lake with my bike, I'm crossing what almost is one though. We went on a long bike ride to St Paul and discovered that part of our trail was flooded. We were able to walk across it, but then not much farther it was even deeper. We made it though and enjoyed Burgers at Mickey's Diner.

On the way up north we got to visit GG June. Robyn and Ron had already been up there all week making a huge float shaped like a loon for the parade associated with Aitkin's All Class Reunion ( a fun perk to being from a small town.) I don't have a picture of it but the float turned out pretty amazing. All Robyn's doing. She's quite the creator.

It doesn't matter where we go James always manages to find a basketball or hoop somewhere, and he won't rest until he's made a few baskets. We finally made him a miniature hoop out of an old fishing net to give our arms a break.
