Fun with the Savannah Thompsons

Well, I need to play catch up for the last month. Right after Robyn and Ron left we were invited to join my brother Joe and Heather's week at the beach in Florida. Of course we said yes first, then thought about the 12 hour drive for a few day stay, later. It was such a great time though. We spent a days and a half with them in Savannah and then down to Florida. We even got to see Sage's family for a short visit before we had to leave. It's fun to live within driving distance of my family again, even if it is a long drive.

Trying out the bike attatchment to the Chariot for the first time.
Our view from the condo. Randy and Joe didn't play golf at this course, but did play twice at the much cheaper one just down the street.
It was so fun to see their kids again. What an adorable family. 7 year old Joseph rode with us from Savannah to Palm Coast and we played 20 questions. Unfortunately Joseph knows more insects than we do so we were never able to figure his out in 20 questions. He'd offer to give us 100 questions but we'd usually give up by then and he'd rattle off the name of some creature we'd never heard of.

In Savannah they made us a Southern specialty. One Pot Boil is what I think they were calling it, but I can't remember, all I know is it's got a word that sounds like "bowl", but I'm pretty sure is spelled "boil." It was a mixture of shrimp, corn on the cob, potatoes and sausage that were boiled together, then eaten with your hands.

You guys made your own boil? That rocks. That is some tasty victual.
