We decided to attempt our first camping with a baby. As we suspected, we've got an outdoorsman. James slept better than I did both nights I think. The first night, at Trough Creek, Pennsylvania, we had to do it ghetto style, sleeping in the back of the car because the campsite was full. Beautiful park though- thank you Chryslers so much for letting us borrow the Baby Bjorn. We enjoyed spending Saturday at Niagara Falls- smuggling James across the boarder for his first international experience (we didn't have his birth certificate, but made it anyways.) We then headed down to Allegany State park in New York on the way back for some hiking. The weather was perfect- it was so nice to escape the heat for a few days.We did discover that James, while still doing well in the car, was more needy of social interaction to keep him happy back there. Makes me a little nervous about how the drive up from Florida with just me and him is going to go next week.
