D.C. United
Well, we went to our first professional soccer game. It was a charity game against the El Salvador national team. There must be a pretty big Salvadorian population in D.C. because over 90% of the fans we in blue and cheering for the away team. Towards the end the crowd got crazy- maybe upset with losing. There were fights breaking out all around and people flinging their drinks across the stands (must be an El Salvadorian tradition?) 3 AWOL fans raced across the field at different points. The security guys were definately getting to use their chasing and manhandling skills like never before I'm sure. I have to say it was hard to focus on the game the crowd was so entertaining. James did really well. Afterwards he just laid in his carseat with eyes staring into space for the entire car ride home, he was so overstimulated- and he has slept most of today, poor boy. Having a James in our life is so fun. We love our sweet baby.

So FUN! Keep the posts coming. I love to hear all about your lives. And its a great way to remember those little stories about James. I especially liked the pic of chrissy and james sleeping with their hands behind the head. classic.
Yep, that is the soccer culture here in Honduras too. After every local match at least two or three people are killed in fights. Some friends went to a game and they said they (my friends) were hit with errant pebbles people were throwing at the field/players throughout the game and as soon as the game ended all the non-fighter type people ran to their cars to avoid the dangers of fan violence.
What can I say, passionate people.
Sounds like you guys are having fun :)
