Herndon Virginia

We made it out here. The drive ended up being a piece of cake- hardly any crying.  Our new apartment is beautiful. I'll take and post some pictures of it soon.  On last Sunday James turned 6 weeks old and we had read and heard that is about the time babies start smiling. Well on Monday he was a handful- wouldn't sleep. I was exhausted and at about 11 pm we were all laying on the bed together and he looked over at me and made a big old smile. And then he did it again. I was so tired I started crying. It was so sweet. So now he is smiling back at you when you smile and it is so fun. Of course he isn't quite to willing to smile at a camera yet- but I did catch him trading smiles with Randy.

Today a new friend invited us to join them at the pool- said she started puttimg her baby in the pool early and had no problems. Here is James decked out in his new swim attire thanks to all those generous Target gift cards. Of course we never made it past his feet. The water was pretty cold and he wasn't loving it so he curled up against my chest and slept while I hung out waist deep in the water and socialized.

Gator boots?

Thanks for blogging R and C. Fun to see you guys in your new environs. So funny how he sleeps with his hands under his head. Does Chrissy always sleep like that too? I never noticed before.
