Monterey

This has been such a great trip. it's so beautiful. We've made it to Monterey. Last night we went to the Monterey Aquarium, and now we're playing at the Dennis the Menace playground. Today we bike 17 mile drive, pass Pebble Beach golf course, and end up in Big Sur. It should be a beautiful 40 or so mile day.  We've discovered 30-40 miles is perfect- beyond that and Owen breaks down. Overall the boys have been doing really great. Very little crying. It's worked well to have the bike seat for some variety. That, and lots of snacks. 

So far only hills and headwind slows us much. Yesterday we had a pretty bad headwind, and it made our last 10 miles take about 2 hours. Tomorrow we have a 50 mile day, 3 times the elevation climbs we've had so far, and a forecasted headwind. Should be scenic though...
