Getting spoiled (and a triathalon)

We've been so lucky to have my mom come up watch the kids for my last 2 1/2 weeks of work. All I can say is I'm glad she wasn't here in the beginning, or at some midpoint, where we'd have to resume our pre- help, busy summer, quality of life again. I get home from work and there's a delicious dinner on the table, the house is spotless, the children are happy and have some great activity to report. Pretty different from what it's been many days over the past 3 months. I could sure get used to this... Dad and Sage i know you must be missing her, but we sure love having her here.
I have Fridays off, so I finally got to spend some time doing fun things with her and the kids. We went. To the Mall of America aquarium and then rode a few rides in the Nickelodeon Universe  ( with our free tickets from national night out.)
We got home, took naps, then walked over to play in the creek. Owen has suddenly discovered the joy of going under water, and it's hard to keep him above it now. He's quite the swimmer ( cool and very scary.) I'll post a video when I'm at the desktop.
This morning I did the St Croix River Valley Triathalon. Just the sprint length. 1/3 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 4 mile run. Our friends the Brodegards came up, and some other friends ( the Edwards) did it as well. Very fun. Driving straight up to the cabin now for the holiday weekend.
