Sorry to be slow in posting. Spring is here and it's hard to spend time indoors. It's pretty amazing how affected by the weather I am. I really do enjoy the winter, but it's incredible how much more I notice and appreciate a warm sunny day then ever in my life. Growing up in Florida it's easy to let a sunny day pass without doing much outside- there's always tomorrow. Here, on a sunny, warm day the trails are full of bikers, joggers, and strollers. It seems like my senses are heightened by depriving them for a few months, and I am able to feel greater enjoyment and appreciation of my surroundings.
We are just starting to plant our garden. Not quite warm enough yet to plant much in the ground, but James has been helping me with the pots. He crawls around on the deck getting splinters in his hands and "harvesting" soil. He likes his crop straight from the garden like his Mom, only I prefer to wait until there is actual food growing. He's not picky.
By the way these pictures were taken a few weeks ago. There is no longer any snow and James has a golden tan. I'll have to take more pictures.
