Florida Thaw

Since my parents are in Hungary on a mission we figured it was the one time we would choose to fly to visit Randy's parents condo in Panama City Beach rather than fly down to Orlando to see my parents. We decided we'll fly down again to visit my family once school is out and they can all get together, but we (or really I) needed to warm up for a few days. I really enjoy Minnesota, and the winter, but boy was it nice to see some green again and feel the warm humid air. We had such a great time. We played tennis and shuffle board, jogged, surfed, did water aerobics with the seniors, played in the sand, walked on the beach, played with cousins and friends. It was fantastic. A much needed break. Randy's sister Rita and her son Dennis were there, with her fun friend Emily who has children just the same age as Dennis and James. The Brodegards came with baby Grant. And then of course Robyn and Ron were there. It was a full house. It felt almost like a Thompson gathering. Randy and I slept out in the living room for part of it and Robyn and Ron appologized more than once. All I could think was wow, only us out in the living room? We could fit some more people down here. It was like a party the whole time. So fantastic. Unfortunately we weren't very good about taking pictures of every one. If we get lucky and have someone shares their pictures with us, I'll add them to the blog.

It was the first time James ever walked or crawled on anything but a wood or carpet floor. He was not real keen on the sand or grass at first, but did warm up to it eventually. See how he's up on his toes.

James is adorable! What a cute cute kid! Of course, with two good looking parents it was bound to happen right?
Nice camera too btw. I love the pictures it takes :)
